2018-05-18: Odes (School Writing Assignments)

ODE
BY: NIGEL
BACON so crunchy. Frying in a pan. Salted to perfection. It smells absolutely delicious. Its crimson and white colors shine like a ray of light in a massive black cavern.
I love bacon!

Ode to a cheeseburger
     So delicious,crispy,cheesy, and good.
So scrumpcious and plumpcious and yummy as well. Cheeseburgers are crunchy and fresh. You are just so good! I can’t put you down! Untill you are gone. Than I have to frown. But wait! Another crumb! OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNONOM!!

                           Delicious!

2018-04-22: Dinner Haikus

Over dinner tonight, Dad made up a few haikus. Nigel was generally unimpressed, mainly because he was not happy about being asked to eat a vegetable with dinner, but Dad thought they were journal-worthy.

Mountains of green spheres
Held still by clusters of ice
Nigel likes peas cold

Anticipation
Dog's tail is wagging
Perhaps he wants to go out?
No, just my dinner

Skinny Pop Popcorn
Drenched in buttery goodness
Not skinny now, eh?

Dinnertime revolt
No one wants to eat their peas
No dessert tonight

2017-12-17: Nose Frog

While playfully tickle-wrestling with Mom today, Nigel called her "a big-footed nose frog". He has become even more playful lately, if that is possible. He is certainly more able to receive teasing in a playful way these days.

Nigel has made up a new joke:
Why was the scientist so excited about pink?
He thought he had discovered cold fuchsia!

"I really know my pinks, Dad."
