When Mom complained about a McRib not sounding like a side dish, Nigel said, "I think anything can be a side dish. Maybe a piece of wood would serve you right, or possibly a street light." He also insisted people would need to eat all of their side dish before they would get their main course.

2014-12-03: McRib Cafe
On the way home from dinner tonight, feeling a bit lippy, Nigel said he wanted to start a cafe with Dad. He proposed letting people choose their own main courses, but him choosing their side dishes for them. For Mom, who said she would choose either prime rib or linguini with shrimp for her main course, he said he would serve a McRib as her side dish. (See: http://www.mansfieldpark.org/2014/11/2014-11-27-thanksgiving-also-mcrib.html for background on the McRib as a family joke. Nigel has spent considerable time trying to get Mom to eat one.)
